God restores me

Preparing to Pray

1.  Take three deep breaths, allowing yourself to be fully present.

2.  Speak to the Lord, telling him that you are dedicating the next fifteen minutes to be with Him.

3.  Ask for the grace you desire:

I want the gift of trust and confidence in God. I want to be able to trust God in my heart.

4.  Consider the following points:

Isaiah the Prophet wrote this portion of his book in anticipation of God bringing about the restoration of Jerusalem. Looking again at the eight moments I identified yesterday, how have I experienced God's restoration in them?

Prayer

Scripture:

Isaiah 43:1-5

Review your prayer

Take a few minutes to reflect on and journal about the following:

What did I feel on each of these occasions? Joy? Delight? ...? Who were the people involved?

... or else write down any moments of consolation or desolation you encountered in your prayer.

Speak with the Lord, as one friend to another, about whatever came up in your prayer.

End with an Our Father or a Hail Mary.
