God shapes me

Preparing to Pray

1.  Take three deep breaths, allowing yourself to be fully present.

2.  Speak to the Lord, telling him that you are dedicating the next fifteen minutes to be with Him.

3.  Ask for the grace you desire:

I want to experience God's care, goodness, kindness, and faithfulness

4.  Consider the following points:

The Prophet Jeremiah probably watched many a potter busy at their wheels shaping clay as they saw fit, remolding the clay, if necessary. Continuing to reflect on those special moments, how has God's love shaped and formed me?

Prayer

Scripture:

Jeremiah 18:1-6

Review your prayer

Take a few minutes to reflect on and journal about the following:

My attention now turns to God. As I look over these special events, how has God's love been present in each of these events? How has God's love and care for me been revealed?

... or else write down any moments of consolation or desolation you encountered in your prayer.

Speak with the Lord, as one friend to another, about whatever came up in your prayer.

End with an Our Father or a Hail Mary.
